Tejaswini, one of the 44 rivers in Kerala, is also known as Kariamkode. This is a small river which originates in the Brahmagiri hills of the Coorg Forest of the state of Karnataka and enters Kerala near Pulingome.
The river flows through Kannur and Kasaragod districts of Kerala before joining the Arabian Sea near Nileswaram. There this river becomes a part of the valiaparambu backwaters. The river runs for bout 64 kilometres long and has a rafting stretch of about 20 kilometres with many rapids extending up to class 4.
